| So I know that my recent Xangas have not really been of much
imptortance. This could be because I'm telling my thoughts to more
people in person this year and ignoring Xanga or because my spyware says no one's reading
this! lol I love it. Yeah so I just thought I'd say
to my "faithful readers" I know who ya are and I understand not having
time to comment, since I dont really leave many comments either! But,
much has been happening to me here and when it's not 230 in the morning
I'll post on it!
To come? Thoughts on my major, Cedarville, my jobs, my ministry,
worship, and anything else anyone wants to know about. I've got fun
websites coming out the wazoo ya know!
Until we post again.... | | |
| Did I also mention I think I might be responsible for the CU Facebook craze? If I'm not, it sure is a big coincidence!

| So I realized on Saturday that I've been going out to this ministry
outside Tipp City and have yet to mention it. Its called The Barn and
for those back home it's like 5Pines Live only with alot more to do in
a lot less space. Every
Friday night between 80-150 high schoolers head out to this place cause
they all live in the middle of corn fields.
Pretty much all of them are
non-Christians yet The Barn itself is Christian in every way. Larry
(the owner) felt led to have a ministry somewhere around 15 years ago
and started buildin stuff for kids on his property. He has an indoor
and outdoor basketball court, volleyball court, soccer field, and skate
park around his barn. Inside, he has tons of pool tables, card tables,
pingpong, video games, tv's, a guitar-jamming room, and mini-cafe. It's
amazing! Like I said, everything about it is Christian - music,
posters, staff, etc but he doesn't expect all these high schoolers to
be what they're not when they are there. Its his goal to share Christ
with everyone who walks through the door, but until they are
Christians, he will not force Christian lifestyle and ethics on them.
Basically that leads to having a Bible study inside every night while
hearing pretty much every cuss-word while on the way to the study. Its
really cool. There are letters from kids all over telling Larry how he
changed their lives through his ministry.
So Ive been doing that every
Friday night for the past 3 weeks and intend to keep going all year. My
team is awesome and I'm looking forward to getting to know them more.
While at The Barn, we are just forging relationships with the
kids there while doing what they (and we )
love to do. So if you think about, pray for me and my team that we can
do just that and really influence these needy kids for Christ.
If ya
wanna know anything else about it, just ask! If you're at Cedarville,
come out sometime! Later all, PAX!
